Promotion of sound interest in the foundational knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) among the school learners

TMI considers that STEM careers are at the core for sustainable development and hence, narturing interests in these fields should be commissioned at early learning stages of future STEM professionals.

It is because of this belief that TMI is currently setting up small-scale community libraries in Nambale in Busia County-Kenya and Kariobangi informal settlement of Nairobi so as to promote the learning of Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry as foundational subjects in STEM. TMI is closely working with school teachers and STEM professionals to promote the motivation and interest in STEM subjects among the learners.

Peer-to-peer learning (P2P-L) is a learning model that TMI is already implementing among the selected learners themselves. Alongside the STEM dream of TMI, a community ICT resource centre is under construction in Nambale-Busia, Kenya. Our E-learning platform for science and mathematics subjects is uploaded with relevant materials and the learners are linked to available volunteer teacher to assist on any questions.
