About Timiza Milestone Initiative

Timiza Milestone Initiative (TMI) is a national Non-Governmanetal Organization (NGO) in Kenya, established in 2020. “Timiza” is a Swahili word which means “ To fulfil”.

We at TMI are hence aimed at promoting and fulfilling the societal promises on quality education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), enhancing climate adaptation strategies to the most vulnerable, promoting access to water and sanitation services and enhancing climate change resilient agro-technological innovations to promote food security.

Where We Work

TMI is mandated to operate in Busia, Bungoma, Kakamega and Nairobi counties. We have currently prioritised our activities in Nairobi and Busia. Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya with a population of close to 4 million and a majority of the residents live in the informal settlements where key services are seldom accessed.

Our Partners

Timiza milestone Initiative was, in 2020, co-opted into the nominating institution of the Falling Walls World Science Summit held in Berlin, Germany.
